A technical conference was recently held in Santander on the new Regulation of Fire Protection Installations: Royal Decree 513/2017, of May 22 (RIPCI).
Organized by the company Cosmos P.C.I., S.L., leader in Cantabria in this sector, it was held in a hotel in Santander and was very well attended by representatives from different fields, all of them sensitive to the application of these regulations.
The conference summarized the most important points of the standard, as well as the development of previous fire regulations in Spain, and the current regulatory framework.
The first speaker was the Managing Director of the company, followed by the company's training coordinator.
Subsequently, the Head of the Inspection and Safety Service of the General Directorate of Industry of the Government of Cantabria participated in a round table with the General Manager of the Spanish Association of Installers and Maintainers of Fire Protection Equipment and Systems (AERME), and on behalf of OCA Global, Jesús Rivero, who answered the attendees' questions about the application of the new regulation from the point of view of the Administration, the installation and maintenance companies, and the actions and regulatory inspections by the control body.
