OCA Global is awarded and executes the certification audit of the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques de Catalunya (Medical Emergencies System of Catalonia)

The Emergency Medical System of Catalonia SEM is responsible for the provision of health services in order to respond to pre-hospital emergency and urgent situations, as well as to provide information and health advice, both in ordinary and extraordinary situations.

24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it manages the 061 telephone health information and health advice service, which coordinates with 112 in response to emergency situations. Since 2016, it also manages the non-emergency medical transport service.

The SEM has 706 professionals, divided into health personnel, nursing staff, emergency health technicians and administrative staff. With its own fleet of emergency vehicles of 414 ground units, it attends to emergency and non-urgent transport situations in collaboration with companies such as IVEMON, Ambulancias Egaras, Grup La Pau, organizations that entrust the certification of their management systems to OCA Global.

Recently, SEM has successfully completed the renewal audit and adaptation to the 2015 version of its quality management system. During the audit, a high degree of collaboration and commitment to the quality requirements established in ISO 9001:2015 has been evidenced.
